Today, we are proud to announce the launch of Bloxes.

Bloxes are essentially 3D cardboard Legos that ship flat, and fold up in modular building blocks that are strong enough to stand on. While they aren’t tech per se, we use them for building tables, walls, cubicles, and desks at the Humanized office. Google and Mint.com have already ordered some, and Mozilla has expressed interest in using them in their offices too. This may well be the new thing in terms of agile office-space deployment. Don’t like where a wall is? Just move it! Don’t like the way it looks? Just rebuild it! They are cheaper than cubicles, and much more fun.

They are also eco-buzzword-friendly (meaning that they are made from recycled cardboard and are recyclable).

So head over to Bloxes and order yourself some re-factorable furniture and walls. Then come back here and tell us all about it.

Any plans for international shipment?

I saw these at sxsw and was wondering what they were. I thought pizza had made the leap from a single plane to the 3d world.

I also saw them at SXSW, but had no idea what they were. Great idea!

We’ve been buying up walls of bloxes at iofy corporation (iofy.com). We’ve enjoyed putting them together and find them far more interesting and inspiring than cubicles.

It is just amazing and beautiful. Good work there but 60 $ : / . Wonder how much it would cost to bring it to europe. ANY IDEAS ?

Humanized is behind the Bloxes? I heard of them before but wasn’t aware until now. Cool!

How strong are these little bad boys? Maybe make something similar for construction industry? :D

What kind cardboard strong enough you ues?

Great idea, but yow, insane cost! US$44.95 for 20 sheets of corrugated cardboard? And if you build a chair from these, it will last how long?

I presume the design is patented so now nobody else can attempt anything like this and give the pattern away for free, or charge how much it’s actually worth, for at least twenty years?
